Red Thread Refuge Society is building second-stage housing for women, children, and pets escaping abuse in Northern Ontario.

We believe leaving violence should not mean choosing between safety, homelessness, poverty, or surrendering a beloved pet.

Red Thread Refuge Society exists to help close the gap after emergency shelter. Our goal is to create secure, trauma-informed, longer-term housing where survivors can stabilize, breathe, rebuild, and move toward a safer future.

This is not just awareness.
This is infrastructure.

We are currently in Phase 0: building the foundation through governance, planning, partnerships, feasibility work, fundraising, and community support.

Every donation, share, conversation, and connection helps move this from vision to reality.
