Welcome to Defensive Dating

Dating should not require you to ignore your instincts, shrink your boundaries or explain away behaviour that makes you uncomfortable.

This course will help you:

  • Recognize pressure, control and manipulation earlier

  • Understand how healthy people respond to boundaries

  • Separate awkward behaviour from concerning patterns

  • Plan safer dates and safer exits

  • Rebuild trust in your own judgment

You do not need proof that someone is dangerous before slowing down, asking questions or walking away.

What this course cannot do

Defensive Dating cannot investigate another person, diagnose them, predict their behaviour or guarantee that anyone is safe. This course provides education, reflection tools and practical safety planning. It is not therapy, legal advice, private investigation, security or emergency response.

Quick Exit changes the page but cannot erase browser history, downloads or notifications. Use a safer device when possible.

Safety first

If someone is threatening you, following you, outside your home or workplace, using a weapon or creating an immediate risk to you, a child or a pet, call 911.

Adults 18+ only.

Before you begin

Think about the last time something in dating felt wrong, confusing or heavier than it should have.

You do not need to write names or details.

Ask yourself:

  • What did I notice first?

  • What did I explain away?

  • What did my body feel before my mind caught up?

  • Did I feel free to say no, slow down or leave?

  • What would I want a friend to notice in the same situation?

Discomfort is information. You do not need a courtroom case before protecting yourself.
